John S. Freeman
Investment Advisor Representative
John is a Financial Advisor with Security Investment Center located at Security Bank and splits his time between branches in Overland Park and Paola, Kansas. He is a Registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative with Osaic Institutions, Inc.
John began managing client assets in 1985, specializing in the use of stocks and bonds for growth and income. Over the years, he has developed two investment processes to assist clients: one for clients who want exposure to the stock and bond markets using professional money management and the other using professional money management using Biblically Responsible and/or Socially Responsible Investing guidelines.
John received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Business Administration from Coe College, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He has authored a White Paper titled “Managing Funds During Retirement: Managed Retirement Portfolios with Known Withdrawal Rates and Adjustments”. He has also co-authored a book called Generating Generosity, available by contacting John directly.
A resident of Paola, KS, where he lives with his wife, Connie, John believes in giving back to his community. He’s active in the Endless Mercy Baptist Church where he’s an Elder. He’s a past board member of the Paola Panther Booster Club, past president of the Paola Soccer Club and a former board member of the Paola Soccer Club, Paola High School Booster Club, Paola Cultural Center, and Pearl Street Baptist Church. John is also the Executive Director and Founder of The MasterClass, a 5-day event for high school and college-aged Christian visual and performing artists and a past board member of Dream Bridge International.
Somehow, John still finds times for his hobbies and fun – collecting Native American art and antiques, clowning, riding his classic motorcycles (one with a sidecar), fishing, reading and spending time mentoring and entertaining his children and grandchildren.
